Objekt - Magazine Redesign
This was a school project where we were asked to choose a magazine and redesign/rebrand them. Objekt magazine is an architecture and interior design magazine with a focus on photography.
My personal favorite part of this redesign is the masthead, pictured above. The concept behind this custom made mark is treating each letterform as an object, the word the magazine draws its title from. The bold forms are able to create a strong presence on a cover and on a shelf.
Because the original Objekt magazine was photo-centric, I found it extremely lacking in type design. Elevating the type to match the photography was a major focus for this rebrand. The image below contains one the featured articles in this project aimed to meet this focus.
